Cisco ASR 9000 Series, A Never-Ending Story

Newly Plans and Line Cards ASR 9903

Launched in late 2020, the compact, high performing ASR 9903 router delivers up to 3.6 Tbps network bandwidth. The baseline explanation comes with a placed of fixed interfaces either 16 x100GbE ports or 15 x100GbE+ 10 x10GbE or 14 x100GbE+ 20 x10GbE.

The A9 903 -2 0HG-PEC is a 2Tbps expansion card with 5 multi-rate ports, starting at 100 GbE up to 400 GbE, and 20 x100GbE ports. The 5 ports, when migrated to 400 GbE through a license, patronage QSFP-DD optics. The A9 903 -8HG-PEC is a 800 Gbps expansion card with 32 x10/ 25 GbE ports and 16 x10GbE ports.

ASR 9902

The compact edge ASR 9902 router( 2RU) delivers up to 800 Gbps of network bandwidth. It corroborates two redundant superhighway processors( RP ), integrated substitution fibers, 2 AC or DC power supply modules, and 3 love in redundant configuration. The router is a matter of a fastened timber, with 2 integrated QSFP-DD based 100 GE ports, 6 integrated QSFP2 8-based 100 GE ports, 16 integrated SFP2 8-based 25 GE/ 10 GE dual-rate ports, plus 24 integrated SFP+ -based LAN/ WAN( OTN) ports. Routed Optical Networking
