FINAL Call for Entries: Submit Your Best Architectural Photograph for a Shot at $2,500!

Budding architectural photographers and professionals alike, there's still time: The 2nd Annual One Photo Challenge, Architizer’s iconic architectural photography competitor, is accepting entryways until April 16 th, 2021!

The competition poses a simple question: Can you captivate a single photograph that tells a powerful narration about building and those that occupy it? Once again, two Grand Prizes of $2,500 are on offer for one student and one non-student respectively, while the top 100 pictures will be published in one of Architizer’s most highly-anticipated features of the year.

Competition Brief

With the birth of the smartphone, millions of people around the world gained access to incredibly advanced cameras, opening up the world of architectural photography to the global public. But while anyone can snap a photo, it makes more to create a absolutely making image. What various kinds of photograph captivates the essence of a neighbourhood? What can it tell us about the people that live, run and play within it? Can a photograph tell us a larger story about the culture context of a home, metropoli or country?

Your task for the One Photo Challenge is as follows: Submit one image that powerfully communicates an architectural figure or space, captivating the essence of the place and the experience of those that would inhabit it. It can be located anywhere in the world and be at any magnitude. It can be taken from a wide angle or said shut up, depict a whole construct or simply a item, and be located anywhere in the world. As long as your photo illustrates duty or all of a building or group of builds, it is eligible. This should be accompanied by a short description of your picture , no more than 150 words.

The two top champions( one student, one non-student) will each receive:

Ten added runners-up will incorporated in the Winners' Announcement and receive thorough coverage across Architizer Journal and all social media platforms. One hundred finalists in total( includes the top winners and runners-up) will be published in our special feature" 100 Photographs That Tell Powerful Stories About Architecture", to be distributed to thousands of architecture conglomerates and millions more via Architizer’s social media channels.

The One Photo Challenge Jury

The 100 Finalists will be selected by Architizer’s team of in-house competition jurors. These finalists will have been tallied by our professional jury, which includes practitioners and visualized chairmen from the worlds of design and photography.

Enter Architecture's Biggest Photography Competition

The One Photo Challenge stipulates a compelling opportunity to illuminate the communicative ability of both structure as a penalize, and photography as a medium. As mentioned earlier, this rivalry is not limited to professionals; everyone with a affection for photography is invited to apply. If you have an eye for essay, light-colored and subtlety, and visual narrative, your personas are likely to be competitors for the $2,500 Top Prizes.
